Luna??s TrueClot? Simulated Hemostatic Gauze works with TrueClot? Blood Simulant to create realistic simulated blood clots during simulation of wound packing for hemorrhage control. The simulated gauze is packaged in a heat-sealed, white plastic pouch and is a close mimic of?Z-Medica??s QuikClot? and Combat Gauze??products. Each simulated gauze package contains one 3 inch wide strip of Z-folded? simulated gauze. 4 ft length.

The TrueClot Basic Packing Trainer (BPT) is a low cost, introductory level dry wound packing task trainer for the 'crawl' stage of training. Students can repeatedly practice correct wound packing techniques and develop muscle memory to hone their bleeding control skills. Constructed from durable silicone, the simulated gunshot exit wound can be packed with 12 feet of gauze and heavy external pressure can also be applied. The small form factor is ideal for table top classroom use, Stop The Bleed courses and in-service training. The BPT stows easily in the included storage can.

Blood Simulant is a highly realistic simulated blood for training first responders in traumatic hemorrhage control, wound packing and the use of advanced hemostatic dressings, TrueClot? Blood Simulant will form realistic simulated blood clots when used together with TrueClot? Simulated Hemostatic Dressings on any task trainer- or manikin-based wound simulator. Simulated clots for moulage or surgical training can be created using TrueClot? Blood Simulant with TrueClot? Clotting Solution.

TrueClot? Blood Simulant comes as a premixed liquid or as a convenient concentrate that is easier to ship and store, but requires mixing in water.

TrueClot? Blood Simulant and Blood Simulant Concentrate are safe and non-hazardous, wash from skin and clothing with soap and water and can be discarded in regular trash. The simulated blood will not clot unless it comes in contact with our Simulated Hemostatic Gauze or Clotting Solution and is stable for 6-12 months if stored at room temperature.

Proper tourniquet placement and application are crucial to effective hemorrhage control.??The TrueClot^??Tourniquet Application Trainer is a wearable device that allows full application of a tourniquet for training purposes. Training blood can be pumped through the device to simulate hemorrhage and when a tourniquet is properly applied bleeding is stopped. The padded arm cuff reduces pinching and pain and allows for proper application of a tourniquet during classroom or scenario training.? The trainer can be worn under a uniform or large t-shirt.

Chest seal application is a critical bleeding control intervention. The TrueClot^® Chest Seal Application Trainer is a task trainer designed to teach this critical skill in both table top/classroom and wearable/scenario settings.

As a table top trainer, the simulated entry and exit wounds will bleed and bubble mimicking tension pneumothorax indications.  A real chest seal is applied to the trainer so students can practice with the seal they use in the field while learning proper placement techniques.  The wound trainer actively bleeds and simulates both exhalation and inhalation demonstrating the sealing and venting action of various chest seal products.   TrueClot’s proprietary design and materials allow chest seals to be removed and reused multiple times to reduce training costs.

When students are ready for scenario training, the same table top wounds can be adhered to and worn on the included Velcro MOLLE vest.  Students are taught to manage a moving patient while applying chest seals using skills learned during table top training.  The unique design allows instructors to place entry and exit wounds in various locations on the torso.  The Chest Seal Application Trainer includes a reservoir for simulated blood, tubing and a bulb pump for active bleeding simulation during wearable, scenario training.  The reservoir/pump system is stored inside the vest and tubing is secured inside the MOLLE loop to prevent tangles and increase realism.

Proper junctional wound packing is a critical bleeding control skill. The TrueClot Inguinal Packing Trainer is a wearable training aid that simulates a junctional hemorrhage that cannot be treated with a tourniquet and teaches advanced wound packing skills. The trainer can be placed on a manikin or worn by an actor for a higher level of realism.

Training blood is pumped through the device to simulate hemorrhage and the large gunshot wound cavity can be packed with a full 12ft. x 3in. strip of simulated hemostatic dressing. Proper wound packing and compression will cause hemorrhaging to stop. When fitted on a manikin a junctional tourniquet may also be applied.

The trainer can be worn under or on top of clothing. For the highest level of realism use TrueClot Blood Simulant and Simulated Hemostatic Gauze for realistic blood clotting simulation. The trainer is for right side inguinal area fitment only.
