The HyFin Vent Compact Chest Seal Twin Pack provides users with 2x vented chest seals in a compact packaging for the treatment of penetrating injuries to the chest. Gone are the days of trying to awkwardly fold chest seals to fit in your trauma kit.

Designed with 3-vented channels, the HyFin Vent allows air to escape the chest cavity during exhalation,while also preventing air from entering through the injury during inhalation. Each HyFin Vent Compact Chest Seal is 12cm x 12cm and made with advanced adhesive to provide a superior adhesion in the most adverse conditions, including sweaty, bloody or hairy patients.

Packaged in a rugged, easy-to-open foil pouch, the perforated packaging allows users to open only one dressing at a time as needed. It 's compact packaging is ideal for low profile or small immediate trauma kits as you do not have to fold it to get it to fit in your trauma kit, go-bag or cargo pocket.

Specifically designed to increase user familiarity, the HyFin Chest Seal Trainer utilises the same template as the HyFin Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack but uses a less aggressive adhesive designed for effective chest seal application on both human skin and a training manikin. This allows for training of proper placement of not only the chest seal itself but also of the vent over a simulated wound.

Packaged in the same rugged, compact foil pouch, the HyFin Chest Seal Trainer also features a unique perforated package that allows the student to open only one chest seal if needed. Made in America and 100% latex free, NAR packages each chest seal using its signature Red Tip Technology red tear notches in a rugged, easy-to-open, foil pouch to ensure high-quality performance.

The Halo Chest Seal is the essential choice for managing penetrating chest trauma when time is of critical importance. The Russell Chest Seal? is designed for the immediate management of an open chest wound and to minimise the risk of developing tension pneumothorax.

The Russell Chest Seal? is a hydrogel-based dressing with an integral low-profile, four apertures, valve. The base material of the chest seal is a hydrogel matrix, which comprises a water-containing gel, mounted onto a non-woven fabric with silicon-coated release liners. 

The Russell Chest Seal? is used to cover penetrating chest wounds, and the valve mechanism allows air to escape from the pleural cavity without being drawn back in. This aims to minimise lunge collapse associated with this injury and to facilitate lung re-inflation. 

The device will remain adhered over many hours and is comfortable for the patient in prolonged use (up to 24 hours).

Chest seal application is a critical bleeding control intervention. The TrueClot^® Chest Seal Application Trainer is a task trainer designed to teach this critical skill in both table top/classroom and wearable/scenario settings.

As a table top trainer, the simulated entry and exit wounds will bleed and bubble mimicking tension pneumothorax indications.  A real chest seal is applied to the trainer so students can practice with the seal they use in the field while learning proper placement techniques.  The wound trainer actively bleeds and simulates both exhalation and inhalation demonstrating the sealing and venting action of various chest seal products.   TrueClot’s proprietary design and materials allow chest seals to be removed and reused multiple times to reduce training costs.

When students are ready for scenario training, the same table top wounds can be adhered to and worn on the included Velcro MOLLE vest.  Students are taught to manage a moving patient while applying chest seals using skills learned during table top training.  The unique design allows instructors to place entry and exit wounds in various locations on the torso.  The Chest Seal Application Trainer includes a reservoir for simulated blood, tubing and a bulb pump for active bleeding simulation during wearable, scenario training.  The reservoir/pump system is stored inside the vest and tubing is secured inside the MOLLE loop to prevent tangles and increase realism.
