COMBAT APPLICATION TOURNIQUET (CAT) G7

The CAT (Combat Application Tourniquet) is a small and lightweight arterial tourniquet that completely occludes blood flow in an extremity. Used for the treatment of life-threatening bleeding, the C.A.T Tourniquet uses a Self-Adhering Band and a Friction Adaptor Buckle to fit a wide range of extremities combined with a one-handed windlass system. The windlass uses a free moving internal band to provide true circumferential pressure to an extremity. The windlass is then locked in place; this requires only one hand, with the Windlass Clip. The C.A.T Tourniquet also has a Hook-and-Loop Windlass Strap for further securing of the windlass during patient transport.

Note - Blue colour option is traditionally used as a training version.

TacMed Australia now carries the K9 Tourniquet. This TQ has been engineered to work effectively on tapered anatomy, such as the leg of a K9, and is designed to be placed high on the limb. It has integrated traction technology that prevents the tourniquet from slipping down the animal??s leg, which would result in a loss of compression.

The slippage is amplified when the animal is started to be moved and extricated. Slippage is a common occurrence when tourniquets or pressure dressings designed for humans are used on such tapered anatomy.

The TacMed Motorcycle Trauma Kit is designed to be carried whenever you ride, to equip you with the items needed to save a life, be it yourself or a fellow rider, in the event of a major incident.

The S-Rolled Gauze from North American Rescue is the ideal solution for a multi-purpose gauze bandage for your trauma kit. Vacuum packed in an easy to open sterile packaging to be compact and rugged the S-Rolled Gauze easily fits into med kits of all sizes. The SAM Junctional Tourniquet (SJT) for haemorrhage control is designed to control bleeding where standard tourniquets would not be effective, such as severe wounds to?the high upper leg, and time is of the essence. It is compact, easy to use (only four steps), and quick to apply (typically under 25 seconds). The Target Compression Device (TCD) is placed at or near the injury site and pumped up until the bleeding stops. Two TCDs can be used to occlude blood flow bilaterally if needed.
