The SOF® Tactical Tourniquet-Wide is a rugged, metal-windlass tourniquet with a quick-release buckle and 1.5-inch band, built for maximum durability and rapid application in extreme military and tactical environments.
Both are leading tourniquets trusted worldwide. The SOF® features a rugged metal windlass and quick-release buckle, making it extremely durable in tactical environments. The C.A.T® is slightly lighter with a plastic windlass. Choice often comes down to preference and environment, as both are clinically proven and TCCC-recommended.
Yes, the SOF® Tourniquet can be applied to smaller limbs, though care must be taken to ensure proper tightening. In some cases, a paediatric-specific device may be more suitable, but many first responders carry SOF® tourniquets for both adults and children.
Tourniquets are generally safe for several hours, but they should only be used in life-threatening bleeding situations and replaced with definitive medical care as soon as possible. Always follow TCCC/ANZCOR guidelines and seek immediate medical attention.
Please provide a delivery address where someone is available during business hours. PO Boxes are accepted. If unattended, your order may be left in a secure location or taken to the nearest post office or depot.

As with most reviewers, I hope I never have to use it. Being on blood thinners and a solo shooter, I think I'd be silly not to carry one. I hope it's as easy to apply as it looks in the video.

I used to run the CAT many moons ago, but I played with the SOF TQ Wide on the RCC. Now I have had time to play with it I was very comfortable after attending the Melb MLO. VERY HAPPY.
Highly recommend these, we use them at work and at least in training I've found them to be easy and simple to use. I've fitted it out in my hunting kit having seen some freak accidents involving sticks, antlers and hiking poles recently. Never leave home without one now.
