Regular price $45.95 Save $-45.95The i-gel® supraglottic airway from Intersurgical represents a ground-breaking advancement in airway management. As a second-generation device and the first major evolution since the laryngeal mask airway, i-gel® has transformed anaesthesia and resuscitation practices worldwide. Crafted from a medical-grade thermoplastic elastomer, this innovative airway creates a non-inflatable, anatomical seal across pharyngeal, laryngeal, and perilaryngeal structures, minimizing compression trauma and maximizing patient safety.
Introduced in 2007 after extensive research and development, the i-gel® is available in 4 different sizes on our website, to accommodate patient weights from 10-90+ kg. Its versatility expanded in 2012 with approval for use as a conduit for intubation (with fibreoptic guidance). The i-gel® arrives in a unique, colour-coded protective cradle (adult sizes) or cage pack (paediatric), designed to maintain optimal flexion prior to use, enhance gas circulation for sterilisation, and serve as a convenient base for lubrication.
