The C-A-T is a small and lightweight arterial tourniquet that completely occludes blood flow in an extremity. The TacMed Split IFAK is the perfect answer when you want to carry the same basic items for a Trauma First Aid Kit, but keep the size of the pack worn to an absolute minimum.

The split IFAK separates the Tourniquet off into its own pouch so the main pouch holding a flat packed 4" OLAES bandage, compact chest seal and Disposable CPR face shield, can be a smaller size. It also features a tearaway design. This means that when worn on a MOLLE vest fitting for example, the complete kit is contained within 2 smaller and thinner packs rather than 1 large pouch. The Slishman Pressure Wrap (SPW) is a highly versatile tool designed primarily for use as a pressure dressing. The lightweight black or orange elastic wrap includes a red slip sleeve forming a lasso that is easy to cinch and allows for application around an injured limb. Compact and conforming, the wrap can be added to IFAKs, go-bags, or larger first aid kits and is useful in a wide range of environments, including tactical, civilian, marine and veterinary. It can also be used to protect wounds, stabilize extremities, or to hold splints in place.

Slishman Pressure Wrap Instructions

1. Loop over injured limb & apply to injury (or simply wrap for entrapped limb).
2. Cinch the red sleeve until snug.
3. Use a wide wrap for long lacerations, or a narrow, tight wrap for more severe bleeding (between the injury and heart).
4. Wrap the elastic all the way to the white label, then secure hooks to the elastic.
5. Note application time on the white label.
6. Adjust for pain minimization, while monitoring bleeding, pulses, sensation and motor function.
7. Leave in place until definitive wound management can be accomplished ASAP.

Note: Do not encircle and tighten around the neck.

The SAM Junctional Tourniquet (SJT) for haemorrhage control is designed to control bleeding where standard tourniquets would not be effective, such as severe wounds to?the high upper leg, and time is of the essence. It is compact, easy to use (only four steps), and quick to apply (typically under 25 seconds). The Target Compression Device (TCD) is placed at or near the injury site and pumped up until the bleeding stops. Two TCDs can be used to occlude blood flow bilaterally if needed. The rugged design ensures that the device stays firmly attached to the patient during transport. Designed to exceed MIL-STD-810g requirements.

The Patented SAM? AUTOSTOP buckle acts to ensure all slack is removed prior to TCD inflation. Once optimal compressive force is reached, two prongs activate, clicking to confirm correct application. The buckle is secured in place with its Velcro? system strap
