5.11 UCR IFAK

This is a great kit. It comes with an elastic/velcro strap so you can attach it to the headrest on your car or other suitable location. I like the loops on the outside as you can slide trauma shears or a sharpie in there for quick access. It is bigger than the Operator IFAK pouch and holds a few extra things. I leave this in the truck and use it as my main trauma kit to supplement the Operator IFAK which is my EDC. When I did the THREAT course through Careflight I learnt that you need to have the ability to move quickly and take everything with you so the pouch system of this pack works a bit better than the zip-open clamshell design of the Operator IFAK. It's just a bit easier to jam stuff back in securely if you have to move. Both kits are great in their own way and contain the same items. Your circumstances will dictate the best one for you.

The Emergency Ready Bag??s name explains it all. Bail out with it and buy some time for the ambulance to arrive, or if you??re the medic, organize all your trauma kit and have it ready to hand. You can haul it as a messenger bag with removable shoulder and waist straps or carrying it with top and grab handles, it just depends on how far you need to go and what you??re responding to.

The Emergency Ready Bag folds open in a partial clamshell to allow full access from the top without letting everything spill out. Once it folds open you??ll find the internal partitions stacked one beside the other, with further subdivisions inside them. Dividers, pockets, a stretch woven center zipper pocket and elastic retention bands make it easier to find and access whatever particulars you need to handle your problem.
