We bought this stretcher to help us carry 32kg boxes of tiles up to our house which has 175 steps !!! It is really strong and whilst not how you would think to use it. It has saved us our backs
We purchased these Litters to enable distribution and use at Section level in the field where movement to a safety vehicle is a time priority (eg snake bite) instead of waiting for the larger rigid stretcher to be brought in to the casualty. Provides additional variety for training, and hopefully will never need to be used.
Bought to replace a very beat up North American Rescue soft litter. Slid nicely into the back of my trauma pack. Ready for the next med support job. Happy if I ever need to use this one!
Expanding on the success and feedback from the QuikLitter and QuikLitter XL, North American Rescue's QuikLitter Lite has added capability and reduced weight and size to be able to fit into a cargo pocket.

Great product! I mean you can't really get an emergency blanket wrong, but... You can get it right. Heaps compact to store pretty much anywhere, especially for my already overflowing tactical backpack. I mean the trauma triad of death, you kinda need this.
Would buy it again when I use it at my next major trauma.

Very rapid delivery.
I haven't, as yet, had call to use this in a real situation but in practice with several people of differing heights (160cm - 190cm) I've been very impressed with this product- it's compact, light weight, easily adjustable and easy to use.
Intuitive and easy to use. The fine adjustment pull toggle makes it very easy to gauge the amount of tension applied, and is very secure when fitted. It bundles into a fairly compact carry case too.
The advanced design of the Shlishman traction splint results in the distal end of the splint not extending past the Pts heel, as is the case with most traction splints. This enables carers to place the patient in a litter for extrication and/or transport without conflict between the litter and the splint. This results in increased Pt comfort and reduced demand for analgesia.

TacMed Australia now offers the ultra capable Sked Basic Rescue System!
Compact storage, ease of use, and flexibility in transport have made Skedco??s Sked stretcher popular with fire departments, rescue squads, the military, and ski patrols.
The Sked Basic Rescue System sets the standard?for confined space, high angle or technical rescue, and traditional land-based applications.?
Made from a heavy sheet of plastic, the stretcher becomes rigid when folded around your patient. A variety of handles and straps allows the stretcher to be transported by
carrying, lifting (vertically or horizontally) by rope systems or helicopter, or towed with the stretcher sliding on the smooth bottom surface.
The stretcher is rolled for storage in a tough cordura backpack which is included with the system.
The complete rescue system ships at 8.2 kgs and comes complete for most applications.
It is available in O.D. Green for military, S.W.A.T. and other tactical situations or International Orange for rescue situations as well the option to purchase with the upgraded Cobra buckles.

The Tactical Sked was requested through the system from down range. It weighs seven pounds and with all accessories it weighs 9 pounds. When laid out, the Tactical Sked measures in 204.216?cm long X 57.15 cm wide X 0.254 cm thick.
It comes in Coyote Brown color and has Cobra buckles throughout. There is a strap diagonally across the chest to keep the patient in if it gets inverted. Other Skeds do not need it because they are longer.
When rolled up the Tactical Sked is 17.78 cm in diameter X 57.15 cm long. If it is secured across your ruck you can easily go through a door without it hanging up. It is made of the same rugged plastic that all Skedco litters are made of so it is extremely durable in the most extreme environment.
The accessories include: a pair of horizontal lift slings, a steel carabiner to secure the ends of the slings together for hoisting into a helicopter and a tow strap for ??hands free?? dragging. The backpack is 60.96 cm long X 17.78 cm in diameter.
When it is carried or hoisted the Tactical Sked keeps your patient??s body straight. It will not bend in the middle. Because it is narrow it forms an anatomical splint around the legs when the straps are pulled tight. It is truly the most versatile of all lightweight stretchers.
