C.A.T Tourniquet - G7
Regular price $65.95 Save $-65.95TacMed Australia is now stocking the COMBAT APPLICATION TOURNIQUET (C.A.T)- G7. It has all the great features of the Gen 6 C.A.T but has added features including the NEW Single Routing Buckle for faster application, decreased blood loss, effective slack removal, fewer windlass turns, and simplified training with single protocol application standards
COMBAT APPLICATION TOURNIQUET (CAT) G7
The CAT (Combat Application Tourniquet) is a small and lightweight arterial tourniquet that completely occludes blood flow in an extremity. Used for the treatment of life-threatening bleeding, the C.A.T Tourniquet uses a Self-Adhering Band and a Friction Adaptor Buckle to fit a wide range of extremities combined with a one-handed windlass system. The windlass uses a free moving internal band to provide true circumferential pressure to an extremity. The windlass is then locked in place; this requires only one hand, with the Windlass Clip. The C.A.T Tourniquet also has a Hook-and-Loop Windlass Strap for further securing of the windlass during patient transport.
Note - Blue colour option is traditionally used as a training version.

K9 Tourniquet
Regular price $71.95 Save $-71.95TacMed Australia now carries the K9 Tourniquet. This TQ has been engineered to work effectively on tapered anatomy, such as the leg of a K9, and is designed to be placed high on the limb. It has integrated traction technology that prevents the tourniquet from slipping down the animal??s leg, which would result in a loss of compression.
The slippage is amplified when the animal is started to be moved and extricated. Slippage is a common occurrence when tourniquets or pressure dressings designed for humans are used on such tapered anatomy.
The K9 Tourniquet addresses these issues and does so with a quick application time

SAM Junctional Tourniquet
Regular price $979.00 Save $-979.00The SAM Junctional Tourniquet (SJT) for haemorrhage control is designed to control bleeding where standard tourniquets would not be effective, such as severe wounds to?the high upper leg, and time is of the essence. It is compact, easy to use (only four steps), and quick to apply (typically under 25 seconds). The Target Compression Device (TCD) is placed at or near the injury site and pumped up until the bleeding stops. Two TCDs can be used to occlude blood flow bilaterally if needed. The rugged design ensures that the device stays firmly attached to the patient during transport. Designed to exceed MIL-STD-810g requirements.
The Patented SAM? AUTOSTOP buckle acts to ensure all slack is removed prior to TCD inflation. Once optimal compressive force is reached, two prongs activate, clicking to confirm correct application. The buckle is secured in place with its Velcro? system strap
