The TraumaSim Trainer's Pack for Bleeding Control 1 is a complete, instructor-ready haemorrhage control training kit combining two of TraumaSim's most proven training systems — the Emergency Tourniquet Trainer (ETT) and the Haemostatic Clotting Trainer (HCT) — with everything needed to deliver effective tourniquet application and wound packing training from day one.
Uncontrolled arterial bleeding is one of the leading causes of preventable death in trauma. Correct tourniquet application and effective wound packing are the interventions that change that outcome — but they're skills that require genuine hands-on practice to perform reliably under pressure. This kit is built around that reality.
The Emergency Tourniquet Trainer — the world's first dedicated tourniquet training system — replicates severe arterial haemorrhage that only occludes when correct tourniquet placement, tension, and technique are achieved. If the application is wrong, the bleed continues. Trainees must reassess and correct. That reactive feedback is what builds the muscle memory and confidence that classroom instruction alone cannot.
The Haemostatic Clotting Trainer adds wound packing capability — available in gunshot wound, laceration, or large packing wound configurations. Each wound cavity allows trainees to practise packing technique using gauze and haemostatic dressings, with bleeding that responds to correct pressure and packing. Together, the two trainers cover the primary haemorrhage control interventions in a single kit.
Both trainers can be run wet or dry. For maximum training value, TraumaSim recommends operating the bleeding systems during exercises — elevating scenario intensity, challenging decision-making under pressure, and delivering the kind of training experience that prepares people for real emergencies. A full litre of Ben Nye Stage Blood, SimClot, ten compressed gauze rolls, red food colouring, gloves, a drop sheet, a CAT Training Tourniquet, and a carry bag are all included.
Configurable at the time of order — select your ETT limb (arm or leg), ETT fabric sleeve colour (blue or khaki), and HCT wound type (gunshot wound, laceration, or large packing wound).
Used internationally by Defence forces, Special Operations teams, paramedics, emergency responders, first aid trainers, fire and rescue services, hospitals, and universities.
Available in 11 skin tones. Tone 01 Light is held in standard stock; other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before ordering if a specific tone is required.

What training does this kit support?
Tourniquet application and wound packing — the two primary haemorrhage control interventions for life-threatening limb bleeding. The kit is suitable for TCCC, TECC, Stop The Bleed, workplace first aid, and any program where bleeding control is a core training objective.
How does the reactive feedback work across both trainers?
The Emergency Tourniquet Trainer replicates arterial haemorrhage that only occludes when correct tourniquet placement and tension are achieved. The Haemostatic Clotting Trainer bleeds in response to wound packing — correct packing technique and pressure reduces visible flow. Both trainers provide immediate, objective feedback without instructor scoring.
What configuration options are available?
At the time of order, select: ETT limb type (arm or leg), ETT fabric sleeve colour (blue or khaki), and HCT wound type (gunshot wound, laceration, or large packing wound). Contact TacMed Australia if you need guidance on which configuration suits your training program.
Can both trainers be run simultaneously?
Yes. The ETT and HCT operate independently — an instructor can run tourniquet and wound packing stations simultaneously, allowing two trainees or two groups to train in parallel from a single kit.
What is SimClot used for?
TraumaSim SimClot is a simulated haemostatic agent used with the Haemostatic Clotting Trainer to replicate the application of haemostatic gauze during wound packing training. It allows trainees to practise the full dressing application sequence, not just the mechanical packing motion.
What is the CAT Training Tourniquet for?
The included CAT Training Tourniquet is a dedicated training variant of the C.A.T® — designed for repeated application practice without wearing out a duty tourniquet. It's intended for use with the Emergency Tourniquet Trainer during training sessions.
Can the trainers be run dry?
Yes. Both trainers support dry training where bleeding simulation is not required — useful for introductory sessions, technique familiarisation, or environments where fluid management isn't practical. For full realism and reactive feedback, TraumaSim recommends operating the bleeding systems.
What skin tones are available?
11 tones are available: 00 Porcelain, 01 Light, 02 Medium, 03 Olive, 04 Medium Olive, 05 Rosy, 06 Warm Rosy, 07 Warm Tan, 08 Tan, 09 Dark Tan, and 10 Dark. Tone 01 Light is held in standard stock. Other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before placing your order to confirm availability and lead times.
What are the dimensions and weight?
The kit measures 45 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm and weighs 12 kg.
Who is this suited to?
First aid instructors, workplace health and safety trainers, community bleeding control educators, TCCC and TECC instructors, military medical training programs, emergency services training facilities, and any organisation delivering hands-on haemorrhage control education.
