The TraumaSim Trainer's Pack for Bleeding Control 2 is an advanced instructor haemorrhage control kit combining the Haemorrhage Control Simulator Lifecast Arm with the Haemostatic Clotting Trainer — delivering multiple wound sites, multiple injury types, and multiple intervention scenarios from a single, organised training package.

Where the Trainer's Pack for Bleeding Control 1 pairs the Emergency Tourniquet Trainer with the HCT for reactive tourniquet and wound packing training, this pack steps up the anatomical realism and scenario complexity. The Haemorrhage Control Simulator Lifecast Arm is a full lifecast of an adult arm featuring two distinct wound presentations in a single unit — a junctional wound near the axilla suitable for wound packing, and a radial artery laceration for tourniquet application training. That dual-wound capability means trainees encounter a more complex casualty from the outset: two bleeding sites, two different interventions required, and a decision to make about which to address first.

The Lifecast Arm includes an internal feedback system — bleeding stops when haemorrhage is correctly controlled, giving trainees immediate, objective confirmation that the intervention worked. The stabilising bracket is included, securing the arm to a bench or table surface so trainees can apply meaningful packing pressure without the unit shifting.

Paired with the Haemostatic Clotting Trainer — available in gunshot wound, laceration, or large packing wound configuration — the kit covers wound packing practice across multiple injury types and anatomical locations. Both trainers can be run wet or dry. For maximum training value, TraumaSim recommends operating the bleeding systems during sessions — elevating intensity, challenging decision-making under pressure, and delivering feedback that builds genuine confidence and muscle memory.

A full litre of Ben Nye Stage Blood, SimClot, ten compressed gauze rolls, a CAT Training Tourniquet, red food colouring, gloves, a plastic drop sheet, and a carry bag are all included.

Select your HCT wound type at the time of order — gunshot wound, laceration, or large packing wound.

Used internationally by Defence forces, Special Operations teams, paramedics, emergency responders, first aid trainers, fire and rescue services, hospitals, and universities.

Available in 11 skin tones. Tone 01 Light is held in standard stock; other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before ordering if a specific tone is required.

How does this kit differ from the Trainer's Pack for Bleeding Control 1?
The key difference is the primary trainer. Pack 1 pairs the Emergency Tourniquet Trainer — a reactive limb amputation model — with the HCT for tourniquet and wound packing training. Pack 2 replaces the ETT with the Haemorrhage Control Simulator Lifecast Arm, which presents two wound sites on a single anatomical arm — a junctional axilla wound and a radial artery laceration — increasing scenario complexity and introducing dual-site wound management. Pack 2 is the more anatomically realistic option; Pack 1 is the more reactive tourniquet-focused option.

What are the two wounds on the Lifecast Arm?
A junctional wound near the axilla — suitable for wound packing training where tourniquet application is not effective — and a laceration across the radial artery, suitable for tourniquet application training. Both wounds bleed independently and have internal occlusion feedback.

How does the internal feedback system work on the Lifecast Arm?
The Lifecast Arm has internal functionality that stops the bleed when haemorrhage is correctly controlled — either through effective wound packing or correct tourniquet application. Trainees receive immediate, objective feedback without instructor scoring.

Why is the stabilising bracket important?
During wound packing, trainees apply significant downward pressure to the wound site. Without a fixed mounting point, the trainer shifts — disrupting technique development and reducing scenario realism. The bracket secures the Lifecast Arm to a bench or table surface, keeping it in position throughout the session.

What HCT wound type should I choose?
It depends on your training program's scenario profile. The Gunshot Wound suits tactical and pre-hospital programs. The Laceration suits a broader range of first aid and emergency response contexts. The Large Packing Wound provides the deepest cavity for advanced packing technique practice. Contact TacMed Australia if you need guidance on which configuration suits your specific program.

What is SimClot used for?
TraumaSim SimClot is a simulated haemostatic agent used with the HCT to replicate haemostatic gauze application during wound packing training — allowing trainees to practise the full intervention sequence, not just the mechanical packing motion.

Can both trainers be run simultaneously?
Yes. The Lifecast Arm and HCT operate independently — instructors can run both training stations simultaneously for parallel trainee throughput.

Can the trainers be run dry?
Yes. Both trainers support dry operation for introductory sessions or environments where fluid management isn't practical. TraumaSim recommends wet operation for maximum realism and feedback quality.

What skin tones are available?
11 tones are available: 00 Porcelain, 01 Light, 02 Medium, 03 Olive, 04 Medium Olive, 05 Rosy, 06 Warm Rosy, 07 Warm Tan, 08 Tan, 09 Dark Tan, and 10 Dark. Tone 01 Light is held in standard stock. Other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before placing your order to confirm availability and lead times.

What are the dimensions and weight?
The kit measures 75 cm x 30 cm x 25 cm and weighs 15 kg.

Who is this suited to?
First aid instructors, workplace health and safety trainers, community bleeding control educators, TCCC and TECC instructors, military medical training programs, emergency services training facilities, and organisations delivering advanced haemorrhage control education where anatomical realism and dual-site wound management are training priorities.
