TraumaSim's TraumaWear Gunshot Entry/Exit Wound — Upper Leg is a wearable silicone wound garment designed for rapid application in scenario-based trauma training. It delivers a medically accurate representation of a ballistic entry and exit wound to the upper leg — one of the most common and consequential injury sites in tactical and military trauma scenarios.
Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, the wound is hand painted for realistic tissue detail and designed to be applied and removed quickly — making it practical for high-tempo training environments where instructor time and scenario reset speed both matter.
TraumaWear is available as either a pull-on or strap-on application depending on the wound location and training setup. The upper leg version uses an adjustable strapping system that fits a range of body sizes across both role players and manikins. For pull-on application, a light dusting of talc powder inside the unit assists with sliding it into position.
To build a complete casualty presentation, pair with Ben Nye stage blood, fresh scab, and moulage makeup. Cutting, burning, or otherwise manipulating clothing to reflect the mechanism of injury — and positioning the casualty consistently with the wound — significantly increases scenario realism and trainee immersion.
