The TraumaSim Trainer's Pack — Provide First Aid is a purpose-built moulage and simulation kit for first aid instructors delivering accredited first aid and emergency response courses. It brings together silicone wound prosthetics, wearable trauma units, and professional moulage consumables in a single organised kit — giving instructors everything needed to run realistic, scenario-based sessions without sourcing components separately.

First aid training that relies solely on verbal description and diagrams produces learners who can recall information but struggle to apply it under the stress of a real emergency. Realistic casualty presentation changes that. When a trainee walks into a scenario and sees a convincing burn, an open fracture, or an actively bleeding laceration, the cognitive and emotional demands of the situation shift closer to what they'll face in the real world. That shift improves assessment accuracy, decision-making speed, and skill retention in ways that low-fidelity training simply doesn't achieve.

This kit is built around the injury presentations most commonly encountered in Provide First Aid course delivery: anaphylaxis and allergic reaction, burns, bleeding and laceration injuries, snake bite, open fractures, and traumatic bleeding control. The silicone wound prosthetics — rash, open laceration, small burn, and snake bite — cover the static presentations. The two TraumaWear units step the realism up significantly: the Jagged Laceration Forearm with Bleeding Capacity delivers active bleeding simulation for wound management and pressure application training, and the Open Tibial Fracture Lower Leg provides a high-impact fracture presentation for assessment and immobilisation training. The Finger Glove Exposed Bone Injury adds a focused extremity injury for close-range assessment scenarios.

The moulage consumables — Ben Nye stage blood, fresh scab, casualty FX palette, grime powder, and a full sponge and brush set — give instructors the tools to enhance and vary wound presentations across multiple scenarios and training days without the wounds looking identical every session.

Everything is supplied in a TraumaSim carry bag. All silicone wounds and TraumaWear products are washable and reusable.

Available in 11 skin tones: 00 Porcelain, 01 Light, 02 Medium, 03 Olive, 04 Medium Olive, 05 Rosy, 06 Warm Rosy, 07 Warm Tan, 08 Tan, 09 Dark Tan, and 10 Dark. Commonly requested tones are held in standard stock; others are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before ordering if a specific tone is required.

Is this kit specifically designed for Provide First Aid courses?
Yes. The wound selection, scenario coverage, and moulage consumables are chosen to support the injury presentations most commonly required in Provide First Aid and general first aid and emergency response course delivery — including anaphylaxis, burns, lacerations, snake bite, fractures, and bleeding control.

What is the difference between the silicone wounds and the TraumaWear units in this kit?
The silicone wounds — rash, open laceration, small burn, and snake bite — are self-adhesive prosthetics applied to skin or manikin surfaces for static wound presentation. The TraumaWear units — Jagged Laceration Forearm with Bleeding Capacity and Open Tibial Fracture Lower Leg — are wearable wound garments that apply to a role player or manikin for more immersive, dynamic scenario delivery. The Jagged Laceration includes active bleeding capacity via syringe.

How does the bleeding capacity on the Jagged Laceration Forearm work?
An integrated bleeding tube connects to a 20 ml syringe that can be concealed on the role player. Depressing the syringe activates the bleed during the scenario, allowing trainees to manage an actively bleeding wound without instructor intervention to control the effect.

Can the moulage consumables be used to vary wound presentations between sessions?
Yes. The Ben Nye stage blood, fresh scab, grime powder, and casualty FX palette allow instructors to vary the appearance and freshness of wound presentations across training days — preventing trainees from recognising the same static setup and ensuring wound assessment remains a genuine skill exercise.

Are all components reusable?
Yes. All silicone wounds and TraumaWear products are washable and designed for repeated use. The moulage consumables are replenishable — individual Ben Nye products and TraumaSim consumables are available for separate purchase through TacMed Australia.

What skin tones are available?
11 tones are available: 00 Porcelain, 01 Light, 02 Medium, 03 Olive, 04 Medium Olive, 05 Rosy, 06 Warm Rosy, 07 Warm Tan, 08 Tan, 09 Dark Tan, and 10 Dark. Commonly requested tones are held in standard stock. Other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before placing your order to confirm availability and lead times.

What are the dimensions and weight?
The kit measures 45 cm x 25 cm x 10 cm and weighs 3 kg.

Who is this suited to?
Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and accredited first aid trainers delivering Provide First Aid, emergency response, and community first aid courses — particularly those looking to introduce or upgrade scenario-based simulation into their training delivery.
