The Setopress High Compression Bandage is perfect for use with the Pressure Immobilisation Technique (PIT). PIT is used for the treatment of all Australian Snakes, Funnel Webbed Spiders, Blue Ringed Octopus and Cone Shell stings.
The Setopress High Compression Bandage is popular with people who work or play outdoors. The visual application guide makes it easy to apply the Setopress bandage consistently and correctly when the adrenaline is pumping and the seconds count.
Offering two compression options, the Setopress bandage has brown rectangles printed on one side (recommended for PIT), and green rectangles on the other. When stretched correctly the rectangles become squares which provide over 30mmHg (brown square) and 20mmHg (green square) of pressure. This easy to use visual guide ensures that the limb has the correct amount of pressure applied for a PIT.
Unlike other bandages, the Setopress is 3.5m long un-stretched. This is long enough to treat even the longest of limbs! Being able to completely bandage a limb is a must with snakebite.

Compression Bandage
The quality is excellent. However I live on my own and found using the bandage somewhat difficult.
What a simple, ingenious product!
Setopress compression bandage for a snake bite... who'd have thought you could innovate with that one?! But this design is so incredibly cool... just love it. Great to have one when I'm out on my mountain bike.

I’ll let youknow if it saves me from a snake bite...
Setopress high compression bandage
Have had a Setopress high compression bandage in our 1st aid kit for over 10 years and unfortunately got to use it on the weekend for a snake bite. The bandage (ours was a beige colour) created a few comments from staff at our local clinic and then in hospital, all were impressed with it. We didn't know what the squares on it were for but am glade I came looking to replace the bandage so if we every need to use it again we have a better understanding on how to use it. Hoping there are instructions on the new boxes to remind us about the rectangles/squares as hope not to need to use another one for a very long time if ever.
Compression bandage
I hope I never have to use it.
