The Setopress High Compression Bandage is an essential tool for the Pressure Immobilisation Technique (PIT), a life-saving method used for the treatment of envenomations from all Australian snakes, Funnel Web Spiders, Blue-Ringed Octopus, and Cone Shell stings. This bandage is a must-have for those who spend time outdoors, whether you're working, hiking, or enjoying outdoor activities.

The Setopress bandage features a unique visual application guide that makes it easy to apply correctly under pressure, ensuring the right amount of compression is applied quickly. The bandage has two compression options: brown rectangles on one side for over 30mmHg of pressure (recommended for PIT) and green rectangles on the other side for 20mmHg. When stretched to the correct tension, the rectangles become squares, visually confirming that the correct pressure has been applied.

At 3.5m in length when unstretched, the Setopress bandage is long enough to completely wrap even the longest limbs, ensuring full coverage in case of a snakebite or other venomous injury. Its durable and reliable construction ensures it will perform when needed the most, and its comfort-focused design makes it suitable for prolonged use.

  • High compression capability for effective PIT treatment
  • Durable and reliable construction ensures long-lasting use
  • Easy application with a clear visual guide for correct compression
  • Versatile use for a range of outdoor and emergency situations
  • Comfort-focused design ensures ease of use, even in stressful conditions

What is the Pressure Immobilisation Technique (PIT)?

The PIT is a method used to treat venomous bites and stings, such as snake bites and certain marine stings. It involves applying a bandage with the correct compression to prevent the spread of venom through the body.

How do I know if I have applied the correct pressure with the Setopress bandage?

The Setopress bandage has a visual guide on the bandage itself. When stretched correctly, the brown and green rectangles become squares. The brown square indicates over 30mmHg pressure (for PIT), and the green square indicates 20mmHg of pressure.

Is the Setopress High Compression Bandage suitable for large limbs?

Yes, the Setopress bandage is 3.5m long when unstretched, making it suitable for wrapping large limbs, ensuring full coverage even in cases of snakebites or other venomous stings.

Can I reuse the Setopress bandage?

The Setopress bandage is designed for single-use applications, especially in emergency situations where timely response is critical. For safety and effectiveness, it is recommended to use a fresh bandage for each incident.

Is the Setopress High Compression Bandage only for snakebites?

No, the Setopress bandage is also effective for treating stings from Funnel Web Spiders, Blue-Ringed Octopus, and Cone Shells, in addition to snakebites.

Setopress compression bandage for a snake bite... who'd have thought you could innovate with that one?! But this design is so incredibly cool... just love it. Great to have one when I'm out on my mountain bike.

Really impressed with this product. Seems very easy to use, and a great length. Can’t say I can’t wait to use it, but I certainly feel safer with it in my first aid kit as we we have a Bush property with the odd brown snake around.

Mr. Doug Pierce

Our walking group bought 4 snake bite bandages for our first aid kits. Hopefully we will never need them. The video on YouTube makes it very clear how to use these special bandages. The rectangles to squares is a brilliant idea.

This was bought for personal use to support a groin tear. The bandage fulfilled the purpose really well and the square patterns made them easy to apply to a suitable amount of compression. Great product!
