The TraumaSim Dehiscence Small Silicone Wound is a high-fidelity, self-adhesive training aid designed to replicate a medically accurate small wound dehiscence presentation for clinical and healthcare education.
Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, the wound allows learners to assess a post-operative wound where partial wound separation has occurred. It supports training in wound observation, documentation, escalation, dressing selection and appropriate care planning.
The tapered edges allow the wound to blend smoothly onto a manikin or live role player, creating a realistic presentation for nursing education, surgical wound care training, aged care, clinical simulation and patient assessment scenarios.
Learners can use the Dehiscence Small wound to practise recognising wound separation, assessing surgical wound integrity, cleaning, dressing application, documentation, escalation, communication and patient-centred care in a safe and repeatable environment.
