The TraumaSim Silicone Wound Kit — Trauma is a versatile, ready-to-deploy wound kit covering 13 self-adhesive silicone wounds across the trauma types most relevant to emergency services, first aid, pre-hospital care, and clinical simulation training — without the overhead of moulage consumables for programs that already have those covered.
The wound selection spans abrasions, burns, eviscerations, lacerations, and open fractures — a deliberately broad cross-section of trauma presentations that allows instructors to build varied casualty profiles across a wide range of scenario types and mechanisms. Two abrasion variants (small graze and large graze) cover the surface trauma presentations commonly encountered in vehicle incidents and falls. Two burn variants (blistered and large) add thermal injury capability. Two evisceration variants (small and large) provide high-impact abdominal trauma presentation across different severity scales. Six laceration wounds — forked shallow, jagged 1, jagged 3, open small, open medium, and impalement stick — cover sharp force, high-energy, blunt, and penetrating laceration presentations. The open fracture rounds out the kit with the highest-severity skeletal injury presentation in the TraumaSim self-adhesive range.
That breadth across 13 wounds makes this kit genuinely versatile — a single kit can support multiple different scenarios across a training day without repeating wound presentations, and the wound variety allows instructors to build multi-wound casualties with visible differentiation between injury types and mechanisms.
No moulage consumables are included — this kit is designed for programs that already have Ben Nye stage blood, fresh scab, and moulage products on hand, or that prefer to select consumables separately. For a complete out-of-the-box solution with consumables included, see the Advanced Trauma Moulage Kit.
All wounds are self-adhesive, washable, and reusable. Supplied in a TraumaSim carry bag.
Available in 11 skin tones. Tone 01 Light is shown in product images and held in standard stock. Other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before ordering if a specific tone is required.

What wound types are included in this kit?
13 wounds across five categories — two abrasions, two burns, two eviscerations, six lacerations, and one open fracture. See the full kit contents list above for specific variants.
Does this kit include moulage consumables?
No. This is a wound-only kit — no stage blood, fresh scab, or makeup products are included. It's designed for programs that already have consumables on hand or that prefer to select them separately. To add consumables, see our Ben Nye moulage products range. For a complete kit with consumables included, see the Advanced Trauma Moulage Kit.
How does this differ from the Advanced Trauma Moulage Kit?
The Advanced Trauma Moulage Kit includes 24 wounds across a broader range of categories — including gunshot wounds, haematomas, compound fractures, and suturable lacerations — plus a full suite of Ben Nye moulage consumables. The Silicone Wound Kit — Trauma is a more focused 13-wound selection without consumables, suited to programs with existing moulage setups or those prioritising wound variety over comprehensive consumable inclusion.
Can I build varied scenarios from a single kit?
Yes. The 13 wounds across five trauma categories allow instructors to build multiple different scenario profiles across a training day without repeating wound presentations. The varied wound types also support multi-wound casualty presentations with visible differentiation between injury types.
Are all wounds reusable?
Yes. All TraumaSim silicone wounds are self-adhesive, washable, and designed for repeated use across high-volume training environments.
What skin tones are available?
11 tones are available: 00 Porcelain, 01 Light, 02 Medium, 03 Olive, 04 Medium Olive, 05 Rosy, 06 Warm Rosy, 07 Warm Tan, 08 Tan, 09 Dark Tan, and 10 Dark. Tone 01 Light is held in standard stock. Other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before placing your order to confirm availability and lead times.
Can individual wounds be purchased separately?
Yes. All TraumaSim silicone wounds are available for individual purchase. Contact TacMed Australia for details.
What are the dimensions and weight?
The kit measures 45 cm x 25 cm x 10 cm and weighs 3 kg.
Who is this suited to?
Emergency services, first aid instructors, pre-hospital care educators, clinical simulation programs, and any training organisation delivering scenario-based trauma training where wound variety and rapid setup are priorities — particularly those with existing moulage consumable setups looking for a high-quality wound kit to complement them.
