QuikClot EMS 4x4 Dressings are advanced haemostatic dressings designed to rapidly stop bleeding in emergency situations. These sterile dressings use cutting-edge clotting technology to provide fast and effective bleeding control. Ideal for first responders, paramedics, and trauma kits, the QuikClot EMS 4x4 Dressing is a sterile, non-woven 4-ply gauze pad impregnated with kaolin, an inorganic mineral that accelerates the body’s natural clotting process without causing exothermic reactions or using animal or human proteins.

The 4 x 4 inch dressings come in an easy-rip package for rapid access and quick application, making them essential for life-saving treatments in emergencies.

  • Soft, white, sterile 4 in. x 4 in, 4-ply nonwoven gauze
  • Impregnated with kaolin, an inorganic mineral that accelerates natural clotting
  • Free from exothermic reactions or the use of animal or human proteins
  • Intuitive, easy-rip package for faster opening and removal
  • Compact and lightweight for easy storage and transport

How many come in a pack?

This is a single 4x4 QuikClot Dressing used to rapidly control bleeding in emergency situations by promoting the body’s natural clotting ability.

How is the QuikClot EMS 4x4 Dressing different from regular gauze?

Unlike regular gauze, QuikClot EMS 4x4 Dressings are impregnated with kaolin, an inorganic mineral that helps accelerate blood clotting, making them more effective for controlling severe bleeding.

Can the QuikClot EMS 4x4 Dressing be used on any type of wound?

Yes, it is effective on both arterial and venous bleeding, and is ideal for use in a variety of trauma situations, including gunshot wounds, stabbings, and accidents.

Does the QuikClot EMS 4x4 Dressing expire?

Yes. Like all sterile haemostatic dressings, QuikClot EMS 4x4 has a shelf life (typically 5 years). Always check the expiry date on the packaging and replace as needed.

Is the QuikClot EMS 4x4 safe for civilian use?

Yes. It’s safe for trained civilians as well as professionals. The kaolin-based technology is non-allergenic, non-exothermic, and widely used in both EMS and military medicine.

Do you need special training to use the QuikClot EMS 4x4 Dressing?

While it can be applied by anyone with basic first aid knowledge, formal training is recommended to ensure correct wound-packing technique in severe bleeding scenarios.

When should I use QuikClot EMS 4x4 instead of QuikClot Combat Gauze?

QuikClot EMS 4x4 is ideal for surface-level and accessible wounds, while QuikClot Combat Gauze is designed for packing deep or irregular cavity wounds. Many responders carry both for versatility.

Great for people on triple or double blood thinners. Works great if small cuts accidentally done anywhere.Stoped bleeding so quickly that would have required hard pressure and holding and elevating for ten minutes

C

Great price. I have previously purchased larger dressing. But having the availability of something smaller is a great option.

Cannot believe how expensive this stuff is. Shame there is little choice for people that have a clotting problem

R
Rob Townsend

The slightly cheaper of the quickclot options. Hope to never need it, but am confident it’ll do the job if required.
