What injury does this simulate?
An irregular, jagged laceration reflecting torn wound margins from high-energy blunt force, fragmentation, machinery contact, vehicle trauma, or similar mechanisms. The wound margin profile is distinct from a sharp force laceration and presents a different wound recognition and management scenario for trainees.

How does this differ from Laceration Jagged 2?
Both are jagged laceration prosthetics, but each has a distinct wound shape, margin pattern, and surface detail. Using both together allows instructors to present multiple wound sites on a single casualty with visible differentiation — more realistic than applying the same prosthetic twice, and more effective at maintaining wound assessment as a genuine clinical skill across multiple training sessions.

What scenarios is this suited to?
Any training scenario where high-energy laceration trauma is part of the casualty profile — vehicle incidents, machinery and industrial trauma, blast and fragmentation injury, blunt assault, and workplace accidents. It's also well suited to mass casualty exercises where varied wound presentations across multiple casualties are required.

Is this a wearable wound or a task trainer?
Neither. This is a self-adhesive silicone wound prosthetic — applied to skin, manikin surfaces, or clothing to create a wound presentation. It has no internal function or strapping system.

Does it include bleeding capacity?
No. This is a static wound prosthetic. To add bleeding effects, apply Ben Nye Stage Blood and Fresh Scab around the wound site during scenario setup.

How do I apply it?
Peel and apply directly to clean, dry skin, a manikin surface, or clothing. The self-adhesive backing holds without additional adhesive products. Tapered edges blend naturally into the surrounding surface.

Is it reusable?
Yes. All TraumaSim silicone wounds are washable and reusable. Clean gently after each use, allow to dry fully, and store flat to maintain the adhesive backing between sessions.

What skin tones are available?
11 tones are available: 00 Porcelain, 01 Light, 02 Medium, 03 Olive, 04 Medium Olive, 05 Rosy, 06 Warm Rosy, 07 Warm Tan, 08 Tan, 09 Dark Tan, and 10 Dark.
