TraumaSim's Laceration Triple is a self-adhesive silicone wound prosthetic presenting three parallel lacerations on a single piece — a wound pattern consistent with claw or rake injuries, multi-blade implements, animal attacks, barbed wire contact, or repeated sharp force trauma across a narrow area.

The triple laceration pattern is a useful scenario tool precisely because of what it implies about mechanism. Three parallel wounds on a single casualty immediately suggest a specific type of incident — animal attack, working dog handler training, wildlife response, agricultural or industrial trauma, or assault with a multi-edged implement. That mechanism specificity drives richer scenario design and more detailed trainee assessment than a generic single laceration.

Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone with tapered edges that blend naturally onto skin, manikin surfaces, or clothing, the triple wound face delivers realistic tissue detail across all three laceration channels. Low-profile at 10.5 cm x 10.5 cm x 0.2 cm, it applies cleanly to most body surfaces and integrates naturally into a wide range of casualty presentations.

To complete the scenario, apply Ben Nye stage blood and fresh scab along and between the wound channels to simulate active or dried bleeding, distress clothing to reflect the mechanism of injury, and position the casualty in an environment consistent with the incident type. For animal attack scenarios in particular, torn clothing, directional blood transfer, and environmental positioning all contribute significantly to scenario immersion.

All TraumaSim silicone wounds are self-adhesive, washable, and reusable. Available individually and as part of TraumaSim moulage kits.

Available in 11 skin tones: 00 Porcelain, 01 Light, 02 Medium, 03 Olive, 04 Medium Olive, 05 Rosy, 06 Warm Rosy, 07 Warm Tan, 08 Tan, 09 Dark Tan, and 10 Dark. Commonly requested tones are held in standard stock; others are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before ordering if a specific tone is required.

  • User Guide
  • Triple parallel laceration pattern: Three wound channels on a single prosthetic — reflects claw injuries, multi-blade implements, animal attacks, barbed wire contact, or repeated sharp force trauma.
  • Mechanism-specific presentation: The parallel wound pattern immediately communicates a specific injury type, supporting richer scenario design and more detailed trainee assessment.
  • Self-adhesive silicone construction: Applies directly to skin, manikin surfaces, or clothing without additional adhesives.
  • Tapered edges: Blend naturally into the surrounding surface for seamless presentation across all three wound channels.
  • Compact and low-profile: 10.5 cm x 10.5 cm x 0.2 cm — applies cleanly to most body surfaces without bulk.

What injury does this simulate?
Three parallel lacerations on a single wound prosthetic — reflecting claw or rake injuries, multi-blade implement trauma, animal attacks, barbed wire contact, or repeated sharp force trauma across a narrow area. The parallel pattern is mechanically distinctive and supports scenario-specific training design.

What scenarios is this particularly suited to?
Animal attack scenarios — including working dog handler training and wildlife response — are a natural fit given the parallel wound pattern. It's also relevant to agricultural and industrial trauma, assault with a multi-edged implement, and any scenario where mechanism recognition from wound pattern is a training objective.

How does this differ from other laceration variants?
The Laceration Triple presents three parallel wound channels on a single prosthetic — a pattern that implies a specific mechanism type. The Circular Laceration presents a single rounded wound from blunt impact. The Sharp and Jagged Lacerations present single linear or irregular wounds from sharp or high-energy mechanisms. Each variant trains a distinct wound recognition and assessment scenario.

Is this a wearable wound or a task trainer?
Neither. This is a self-adhesive silicone wound prosthetic — applied to skin, manikin surfaces, or clothing to create a wound presentation. It has no internal function or strapping system.

Does it include bleeding capacity?
No. This is a static wound prosthetic. To add bleeding effects, apply Ben Nye Stage Blood and Fresh Scab along and between the wound channels during scenario setup.

How do I apply it?
Peel and apply directly to clean, dry skin, a manikin surface, or clothing. The self-adhesive backing holds without additional adhesive products. Tapered edges blend naturally into the surrounding surface across all three wound channels.

Is it reusable?
Yes. All TraumaSim silicone wounds are washable and reusable. Clean gently after each use, allow to dry fully, and store flat to maintain the adhesive backing between sessions.

What skin tones are available?
11 tones are available: 00 Porcelain, 01 Light, 02 Medium, 03 Olive, 04 Medium Olive, 05 Rosy, 06 Warm Rosy, 07 Warm Tan, 08 Tan, 09 Dark Tan, and 10 Dark. Commonly requested tones are held in standard stock. Other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before placing your order to confirm availability and lead times.

What are the dimensions and weight?
The prosthetic measures 10.5 cm x 10.5 cm x 0.2 cm and weighs 0.05 kg.

Can I purchase this as part of a kit?
Yes. TraumaSim silicone wounds are available individually and in kit configurations. Contact TacMed Australia for details on kits that include this wound.
