TraumaSim's TraumaWear Gunshot Entry/Exit Wound — Forearm is a wearable silicone wound garment delivering a medically accurate ballistic entry and exit wound presentation to the forearm. Built for rapid application in scenario-based trauma training, it's designed to be on a role player or manikin quickly and look convincing from the moment trainees arrive on scene.
Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone and hand painted for realistic tissue detail, the forearm version uses a pull-on application. A light dusting of talc powder inside the unit is recommended to assist with sliding it into position. The adjustable strapping system accommodates a range of body sizes across both role players and training manikins.
Available in two variants — standard and with bleeding capacity. The bleeding capacity variant includes an integrated bleeding tube and a 20 ml syringe. The syringe can be discretely concealed on the role player, allowing them to self-activate the bleed during the scenario for a fully immersive, instructor-independent casualty presentation.
To build out a complete casualty, pair with Ben Nye stage blood, fresh scab, and moulage makeup. Distressing clothing to reflect the mechanism of injury and positioning the casualty consistently with the wound type adds significant depth to the scenario and increases trainee engagement and retention.
All TraumaWear is washable and built for repeated use. Available individually and as part of TraumaSim moulage kits.
Available in multiple skin tones. Tones 01 Light and 08 Tan are shown in product images and held in standard stock. Other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before ordering if a specific tone is required.

What is the difference between the two variants?
The standard variant is the silicone wound garment only — realistic presentation with no active bleeding. The bleeding capacity variant adds an integrated bleeding tube and a 20 ml syringe, allowing active haemorrhage to be simulated during the scenario.
How does the bleeding capacity work?
The bleeding tube is routed through the wound and can be discretely concealed on the role player. A filled 20 ml syringe connects to the tube — the role player activates the bleed by depressing the syringe during the scenario, without requiring instructor involvement.
Is this a pull-on or strap-on application?
The forearm version is a pull-on application. A light dusting of talc powder inside the unit is recommended to assist with sliding it into position smoothly.
How do I enhance the realism of the presentation?
Pair with Ben Nye stage blood, fresh scab, and moulage makeup for a complete casualty appearance. Cutting or distressing clothing to match the mechanism of injury and positioning the casualty consistently with the wound significantly increases trainee immersion.
Is it compatible with training manikins?
Yes. The adjustable strapping system fits both live role players and training manikins across a range of sizes.
Is it washable?
Yes. All TraumaWear is washable and designed for repeated use. Clean after each session and store flat or rolled in a cool, dry location.
What skin tones are available?
Tones 01 Light and 08 Tan are held in standard stock. Other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before placing your order if a specific tone is required.
Can I purchase this as part of a kit?
Yes. The bleeding capacity variant is included in the TraumaSim Military Advanced Moulage Kit. Both variants are available individually for programs building custom configurations. Contact TacMed Australia for details.
What are the dimensions and weight?
The unit measures 20 cm x 14 cm x 3 cm and weighs 0.5 kg.
