What does the SALT triage system stand for?

SALT stands for Sort, Assess, Lifesaving Interventions, and Treatment/Transport. It is a standardised triage method used to classify casualties during mass casualty incidents.

How does the casualty count card work?

The laminated count card uses colour-coded fields aligned with SALT status levels—red (Immediate), yellow (Delayed), green (Minimal), grey (Expectant), and black (Dead). Casualties are categorised using the included grease pencil.

What comes with each NAR T2 Tag?

Each tag includes a liquid-resistant triage/treatment tag, a plastic sheath with a latex-free band, a chemical light, a pencil, and status stickers for tracking blood work, contamination, and tourniquet usage.

How is the kit stored?

All components are packed into a compact, rugged vacuum-sealed pouch—perfect for use in mobile or field-based emergency kits.

What’s the function of the break-away lanyard?

The lanyard holds the triage flowchart and count card for fast access during high-stress triage scenarios and automatically detaches under tension for safety.
