What is included in the Advanced Trauma Moulage Kit?
The kit includes 24 self-adhesive silicone wounds across six trauma categories — burns, lacerations, fractures, gunshot wounds, eviscerations, and miscellaneous injuries — plus a full range of Ben Nye moulage consumables, application tools, syringes, gauze, and a TraumaSim carry bag. See the full kit contents list above.
Are the silicone wounds reusable?
Yes. All TraumaSim silicone wounds are washable and reusable, designed to maintain appearance and adhesion across repeated training use.
Are the wounds self-adhesive?
Yes. All silicone wounds in this kit are self-adhesive — no additional adhesive products are required for standard application.
What skin tones are available?
The kit is available in multiple skin tones. Tones 01 Light and 08 Tan are held in standard stock. Other tones are manufactured to order — contact TacMed Australia before placing your order if you require a specific tone.
Is the manikin included?
No. The manikin shown in product images is for presentation purposes only and is not included with the kit. Wounds are compatible with most training manikins and can be applied to live role players.
What does this kit replace?
It was developed as a direct replacement for the now-discontinued Laerdal Practoplast Kit and is designed as a modern, higher-fidelity alternative for organisations updating their moulage inventory.
Can individual items be purchased separately?
Yes. All TraumaSim silicone wounds and moulage consumables are available for individual purchase. Contact TacMed Australia for details.
Is this kit suitable for high-volume training programs?
Yes. The combination of reusable silicone wounds, professional consumables, and a dedicated carry bag makes this kit well suited to programs running frequent or large-scale training events.
What are the kit dimensions and weight?
The kit measures 45 cm x 40 cm x 18 cm and weighs approximately 7 kg.
What training contexts is this kit suited to?
Emergency services, military, law enforcement, prehospital care, first aid education, and clinical simulation programs — any environment where realistic casualty presentation is central to training outcomes.
