One platform. Eight base configurations, infinitely expandable with interchangeable wound modules. Co-developed by NAR Simulation® and Techline Technologies Inc., the TOMManikin Series is built for realistic trauma training across every environment and casualty type your program demands.

TOMManikin — TCCC simulator platform
Platform Overview

Built For Every
Scenario. Every
Environment.

The TOMManikin® / TAMikin™ Series is a single platform family with eight distinct configurations, covering everything from entry-level trauma response through to complex multi-casualty scenarios. Every configuration shares the same frame, remote control tablet and interchangeable appendages — so your investment grows with your program.

It’s built to perform in the real world. Durable enough to handle demanding training environments, simple enough to repair in the field, and reliable enough to run without a tablet connection if you need it to.

Platform Capabilities

The TOMManikin covers the full spectrum of trauma intervention — from haemorrhage control and airway management through to vascular access, thoracic intervention and realistic patient vitals. Specific capabilities depend on the configuration selected, and TacMed’s Simulation Team will help map the right build to your training objectives.

TOMManikin active bleeding
Active Bleeding

Simulate high-volume haemorrhage from multiple wound sites with remote-controlled bleeding rates. Supports proximal, junctional and abdominal tourniquet application, wound packing and indirect manual pressure for haemorrhage control.

TOMManikin airway management
Airway Management

Every configuration supports a complete airway progression — nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal airway insertion, supraglottic airway devices, endotracheal intubation, and surgical airway with realistic tissue dissection and active bleeding.

IV Access
IV Access

Antecubital peripheral IV access on uninjured upper limbs, with variable radial and carotid pulse rates and pressure — normal, bounding and thready modes — controllable from the RC tablet. CPR chest compressions supported across all configurations.

IO Access
IO Access

Intraosseous access at sternal, humeral and tibial sites. Train the full range of IO insertion techniques on a single platform without additional task trainers.

TOMManikin chest decompression
Chest Decompression

Bilateral needle decompression at 2nd/3rd or 5th/6th intercostal sites, realistic chest seal application, tension pneumothorax simulation, and chest tube capable on all models. Remote-controlled breathing rates with bilateral chest rise simulation.

TOMManikin durability
Durability

A welded steel frame with solid steel joints, silicone skin rated for prolonged UV exposure and extreme temperatures, and extremities capable of withstanding 2,700 kg of pressure. Built to last in the environments your training demands.

TAMikin female anatomy
Female Anatomy

The TAMikin variant delivers anatomically accurate female features, injury presentations and voice — ensuring your program reflects the full casualty profile your team may encounter.

Water TOMManikin waterborne operations
Waterborne Operations

The Water TOMManikin is designed for full submersion in fresh or salt water to 33 feet. Train casualty extraction and treatment in maritime, flood and waterborne rescue scenarios without compromising platform capability.

Work With TacMed

The Right
Configuration
For Your Program.

No two training programs are the same. Our in-house simulation team will work with you to identify the right TOMManikin configuration — the right wound patterns, the right casualty profile, the right environment — for your specific training objectives and operational context.

01
Define Your Objectives

Tell us about your training program — casualty types, intervention priorities, operating environments and frequency of use. We’ll map the capability requirements back to the right platform configuration.

02
Configure the Platform

From a single TCCC Man through to a multi-unit TOMManikin fleet with mixed configurations — we’ll spec the right wound patterns, casualty profiles and RC setup for your program.

03
Sustained Support

TacMed’s after-sale support structure keeps your platform operational — consumables, maintenance guidance, scenario development and operator training as your program scales.
